At 53, Gloria takes pride in her culinary skills and enjoys her independence and playful spirit. She cleverly uses her cooking and charisma to persuade her family to let her indulge in as much alcohol as she desires. Despite the challenges of raising her children, particularly with an abusive husband, Gloria has faced significant struggles. After being diagnosed with breast cancer at 42, she endured chemotherapy and radiation but continued to drink heavily. Now, her life is spiraling as she drinks and drives, skips work, and depletes her finances on alcohol.
