S01E08 New Model

Deus convenes a gathering of the eight remaining diary bearers, and one member expresses a desire to transfer ownership of his diary. Two weeks after Reisuke vanishes, Yuki and Yuno enroll in a new school, where a string of gruesome murders has caused widespread fear. After classes, they sneak into a crime scene with Yuki's friends Hinata, Mao, and Kousaka. When Hinata strays away, Yuki's diary ominously predicts an attack on her. They hurry back, only to discover Hinata's lifeless body near a pack of aggressive dogs. Suddenly, a mysterious boy named Aru Akise appears, claiming to be a classmate who has been monitoring the strange events surrounding Yuki. Despite Yuno's suspicions, Yuki decides to disclose his diary's existence to protect the group. Just as the dogs retreat, Mao, brandishing a knife, seizes Yuki's diary and hands it to a seemingly unharmed Hinata
