In the third week of the heats, five determined chefs from around the nation kick off their quest for the title with the Signature Dish Test. They have just one hour to prepare an impressive dish that highlights their culinary expertise, as this might be their sole opportunity to win over the judges—one contestant will be eliminated after this round. Following this, the remaining four chefs take on Monica's Skills Test. Monica and Gregg challenge each chef to demonstrate their pastry prowess by crafting her take on the classic millefeuille. They must skillfully create caramel tuiles and assemble a flawless millefeuille with crème patissière and raspberries, all within a tight 20-minute timeframe.
