S01E01 Chapter I - Sea Monsters

After an impressive victory at the renowned Jaws surf break in Maui in 2003, professional surfer Garrett McNamara decides to come out of retirement to chase his dream of conquering a 100-foot wave. By 2010, Garrett and his wife Nicole extend an invitation to other big wave surfers to join them in Nazare, Portugal, where the enormous, uncharted waves could provide the perfect opportunity for McNamara to accomplish the seemingly impossible feat.
