Gee uncovers Granger's misuse of family ties for plumbing contracts, leading to a scandal that forces Granger's retirement. Barnfather is promoted to colonel, and Megan Russert steps up as the new captain. As the Baltimore police department embraces a more politically correct approach, Gee remains dissatisfied.
