Diana is shocked to realize her finances are in disarray and rushes to London to make a scene, only to learn that all her investments have been placed in receivership. Meanwhile, in Bayview, Tom is dealing with major rising damp issues in his room. He proposes a practical solution: they should share a larger space together. Diana agrees to the idea but firmly refuses to be carried over the threshold.
