S01E02 The Mountains

In the rugged highlands, two rare predators depend on an abundance of lemmings for survival. This season, the lemming population explodes, allowing Arctic foxes and snowy owls to thrive and raise their young, offering an up-close view of their parenting. Meanwhile, reindeer traverse the plains in an extraordinary endless journey, facing tough odds to reproduce. Foxes, ravens, and eagles constantly hunt for weak calves, and a mother reindeer devours her placenta after delivery to avoid drawing predators to her newborn.
