Mr. Middleditch arrives at St Aidan's hospital with his wife for a scheduled procedure. Observing that Mrs. Middleditch appears to be in poor health, the hospital opts to provide her with a blood transfusion. Meanwhile, Susie Dixon, preoccupied with the flirtations of a wealthy, divorced playboy who has proposed to her, mistakenly administers the incorrect blood type. This error leads to severe repercussions for both her and the patient, setting off a chain of events that could change everything.
