Fifteen months following the incident at Arctic Biosystems, a new CDC team, including biotoxicologist Kyle Sommer, is dispatched to investigate a possible outbreak aboard a Windjammer in the Northern Pacific. Their investigation takes them to an island inhabited by a secretive cult led by the enigmatic Michael. In a timeline 30 years later, Walker finds himself on the same island, on a quest to locate Alan Farragut.
