Title: Joyride Plot: In 1963, Theodore Harris (Cliff Robertson) embarked on his inaugural journey into space, but things took a turn for the worse. Isolated in his Mercury capsule, he became overwhelmed and aborted the mission when a strange violet glow filled the cockpit and surrounded him. Following the incident, investigations yielded no proof of his claims, tarnishing Harris's reputation at NASA and shattering his life. Now, at 63, he has accepted that reconciliation with his estranged wife Madelaine (Pamela Parry) is unlikely, yet he believes he can restore his honor if he can return to the site of the mysterious light.
