In 1910, Pennsylvania Station opened its doors in New York City, hailed as one of the most stunning architectural and engineering marvels of its era. Spanning nearly eight acres, its construction demanded sixteen miles of underground tunnels. Yet, just half a century later, this grand landmark was demolished to make way for Madison Square Garden, a towering office building, and a sprawling sports complex.
