Kevin befriends Jeff, the first classmate he's met whose parents are divorced. Winnie encourages Kevin to match Jeff with Ann, but Jeff struggles with feelings of guilt over a girlfriend he left behind. Ann feels hurt by Jeff's disinterest, leading Winnie to place the blame on Kevin. To clear the air, Kevin decides to drive Jeff to have an honest conversation with Julie about the situation, hoping to resolve the tensions among everyone involved.
