Alf Onnie's, a fabric and curtains store in East London, has been a staple since its establishment in 1920. As it nears its 100th anniversary, the brothers who run it are facing tough times due to the recession and a downturn in the housing market, which have severely impacted curtain sales. Stuck in a nostalgic past, they are unsure how to evolve the business. In an effort to modernize, Alex introduces them to contemporary window dressing techniques, organizes a stylish photo shoot, and takes them to Brown's hotel in London, where they meet her mother, who manages the family-owned hotel.
