When Barney receives a proposal to take on the role of sheriff in the neighboring town of Greendale, Andy seizes the chance to let him experience the responsibilities of law enforcement. He appoints Barney as the sheriff of Mayberry for a day, allowing him to immerse himself in the challenges and duties of the position.
