Max and Tess head to the interstellar summit in New York City alongside Rath and Lonnie, the duplicates of Michael and Isabel, who have their own hidden motives involving Nicholas, the Skin. Ava confides in Liz that Rath and Lonnie were responsible for Zan's murder. As Max uncovers their real plans, Tess is taken captive by the dupes. When he finally rescues her, Tess reveals they attempted to invade her mind for the Granolith's location, but she fought back. She questions if the dupes are truly gone or if they still exist somewhere. Meanwhile, Ava bids farewell to Liz and leaves Roswell behind.
