Mulder and Scully are racing against the clock to rescue A.D. Skinner from a deadly, genetically engineered virus. Suspicions arise that a covert government agency is behind the creation of this lethal disease. As Skinner's health deteriorates, Mulder turns to Senator Matheson for help, hoping he can shed light on the motives behind the attack and assist in finding a way to save Skinner's life. Time is running out, and they must uncover the truth before it's too late.
