As Jed prepares to address a national television conference with thousands of schoolchildren during the arrival of the Galileo probe at Mars, NASA suddenly loses contact with the spacecraft. Meanwhile, Leo confronts a Russian ambassador who refuses to acknowledge a fire in a nuclear missile silo. C.J. and Sam join Jed at a concert, where they encounter some unwelcome faces. Josh and Donna are tasked with selecting the next figure to feature on a postage stamp. Additionally, C.J. navigates a small scandal stemming from a leaked detail about Jed's aversion to green beans.
