After Carrick’s defection to the Republican party, Josh finds himself isolated in the White House, prompting C.J. to share strategies with Donna on how to bolster his spirits. Meanwhile, Jed faces a sobering dose of reality when he spends too much time in a small Oklahoma town recovering from a devastating tornado. While Jed is away, Leo manages multiple crises, including the threat of war between Albania and Greece, a visit from the German chancellor, a contentious tax cut debate, and an assertive Secretary of Defense. Josh and Toby are less than pleased when Leo decides to bring Angela on board to help lighten Josh's workload.
