An amateur exorcist attempts to seal a youkai close to Natsume's school but ultimately fails. Determined to help, Natsume decides to bring the pot containing the youkai to Natori, hoping he can handle it appropriately. While visiting, Natsume discovers that exorcists are currently embroiled in a conflict, with one exorcist in particular targeting his competitors. Upon returning home, Natsume unexpectedly encounters Matoba, another exorcist who has previously tried to manipulate him, seeking his assistance with this troubling situation.
