General John Acosta from the Department of Defense enlists MacGyver’s help to infiltrate a military lab and extract sensitive information on a top-secret project, aiming to identify its security vulnerabilities. However, things take a dark turn when it becomes clear that Acosta intends to use the weapon for an offensive strike. Now, Phoenix must race against time to thwart Acosta's plans before the weapon can be activated.
