On May 26, 1991, Lauda Air Flight 004 faced a catastrophic incident when the thrust reverser of its first engine unexpectedly activated during flight. This malfunction led the aircraft to lose control and ultimately break apart approximately 100 miles northwest of Bangkok. Tragically, all 223 individuals on board, including passengers and crew members, perished in this devastating accident.
