On August 14, 2013, UPS Airlines Flight 1354 tragically strikes the treetops and crashes into a hillside roughly one nautical mile from the runway while making its final approach to Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport in Alabama. The accident results in the deaths of both crew members aboard the aircraft.
