Chaos erupts in the ward when a patient asserts she has psychic abilities and claims to have communicated with the ghost of Sophie Williams, who allegedly provided her solace throughout the night. Her statements, along with the ensuing media frenzy, leave the staff feeling unsettled, but the arrival of a young visitor pushes Von to his breaking point. Terri struggles with her responsibilities as both a nurse and a nun while trying to assist a young patient grappling with his sexual identity. Meanwhile, Bron and Jared's home life heats up when Connor receives a visit from Lily, and Peter finds himself in deeper despair after indulging in self-pity one time too many.
