As they investigate, they uncover a web of hidden truths that might have led to Phyllis' death, including her involvement in an affair with a married competitor. Meanwhile, Hodgins clandestinely examines bacteria found on the bones of an earlier victim, convinced that his findings could clear Zack of any wrongdoing.
