Yoshiharu Sagara unexpectedly finds himself transported to the Sengoku period, where he is saved by Hideyoshi Toyotomi's noble sacrifice. While defending a teenage girl from enemy soldiers, he realizes she is Nobuna Oda, the female Daimyo of Owari and a version of the historical Nobunaga Oda. To his surprise, he learns that many warlords in this time are women. Grateful for his bravery, Nobuna appoints Yoshiharu as her retainer, though she and her loyal servants, Katsuie Shibata, Nagahide Niwa, and Inuchiyo Maeda, are doubtful of his future origins. Determined to support her, Yoshiharu steps into Hideyoshi's shoes. Meanwhile, the Daimyo of Mino, Dōsan Saitō, invites Nobuna to discuss an alliance.
