Title: Jerry Smith Plot: Nearly five decades ago, a promising tight end, Jerry Smith, made his debut with the Washington Redskins. Over the course of 13 seasons, he achieved remarkable success, earning spots in two Pro Bowls, being named to an All-Pro team, and competing in a Super Bowl. Jerry set an NFL milestone with 60 receiving touchdowns, a record for tight ends that remained unbroken for 26 years. Despite his accomplishments, Smith grappled with his identity as a gay man, leading to a life filled with anxiety and pressure.
