Todd gets accepted into Fairmount Academy, a prestigious school for aspiring NBA players in Vermont. Liz struggles with this news, especially as their time together dwindles. On the eve of his departure from Sweet Valley, they have a heated argument and end up not speaking for two weeks. Meanwhile, Nicholas asks Liz out, which infuriates Jessica. Eager to keep Nicholas for herself, Jessica devises a plan to bring Todd back to Sweet Valley, but her efforts lead to unexpected and chaotic outcomes.
