S04E04 Memory Lane

Amber Gerweck juggles her responsibilities as a mother of four while working full-time on a contract with the Department of Homeland Security. One day, she abruptly stops attending work, prompting police to investigate her apartment, where they find no sign of her and evidence suggesting something sinister may have occurred. Just hours later, her car is discovered abandoned in a parking lot in Georgia, over six hundred miles from her home. Surveillance footage from a nearby Dollar General shows Amber shopping without any visible signs of distress, leaving her parents deeply worried. As the first week passes, Georgia police launch a thorough search of the area but find no leads, causing the case to grow cold. Amber’s parents are heartbroken until they receive a phone call that changes everything.
