Struggling with unpaid gambling debts, out-of-work trumpet player Joey turns to his older brother for a thousand-dollar loan. Roc, however, declines to help, despite Joey's assurances that he’ll turn over a new leaf. To put Joey’s commitment to the test, Roc secures him a legitimate position with the sanitation department, offering to cover the debt if Joey can hold onto the job for two weeks.
