Jeanne faces a grim fate as she is condemned to die by fire. Montmorency, devastated by the news of what’s to come, shuts himself off emotionally. With Jeanne's time running out and humanity at a dead end, she calls out to Ulysses Noire, who has chosen to confront Enlil: "Montmorency is gone!" But she insists, "No, he’s still with us. I can sense him!"
