In Christmas 1945, the first holiday season of peace following the war, Helen is unwell, leaving James to step in for the Darrowby Nativity play. Meanwhile, Siegfried returns to Mrs. Stokes’s Farm to check on Hilda the goat, who has been getting into trouble again. Additionally, Mrs. Hall is eager to participate in the Drovers' darts competition, hoping to win the top prize of a fresh turkey.
