As Grade 9 kicks off, Emma's mom is about to give birth. After being mistakenly identified as Snake's daughter at school, Emma feels compelled to search for her biological father. When she broaches the subject with her mom, she’s met with a firm refusal. Undeterred, Emma takes to the internet and manages to track down his address. The following day, she skips class with Craig to seek him out. Their first stop is a dead end, but they soon return to Emma's house and uncover the correct location. They hop on the subway to Stouffville, ultimately arriving at a medical building. Emma sneaks upstairs and opens a door, revealing her dad in an unexpected moment.
