Merton enters a quizbowl competition feeling confident about winning, but since he has no partner, he reluctantly teams up with Tommy—the only one left. Merton performs brilliantly through the rounds, catching the attention of a man who asks for an interview. Unbeknownst to Merton, this man plans to steal his brain and transplant it into his monster, Frank Stein, to bring the creature to life.
