S04E78 The Judgment

Asuma unleashes his fire jutsu on Hidan, only to find himself injured as well. Hidan explains his sinister ability: by consuming an opponent’s blood while within a blood-drawn ritual circle, he creates a link that transfers any damage he takes back to his foe. Asuma charges at Hidan but collapses when Hidan stabs his own leg. Realizing that Hidan must remain in the circle for the curse to work, Shikamaru uses his shadow possession technique to pull Hidan out. Summoning his strength, Asuma manages to rise and decapitates the immobilized Hidan.
