The Clampetts are starting to make themselves at home in Beverly Hills. They’re getting used to modern conveniences like refrigerators, ovens, and the swimming pool, which they amusingly refer to as the "cement pond." Jethro stumbles upon a flamingo, mistaking it for a chicken, which raises Jed's suspicions about whether Jethro has been indulging in moonshine. At the same time, Miss Hathaway, the executive secretary to banker Milburn Drysdale, mistakenly assumes that the Clampetts are domestic staff, believing Granny to be a cook and Elly to be a maid.
