Hilton Cubitt and his wife, Elsie, are working on a groundbreaking method to cultivate plants in frigid temperatures. However, their research has attracted the attention of a dangerous individual willing to resort to murder. One night, an intruder breaks into their lab, leading to a violent confrontation that results in Hilton falling into a cryogenic tank while Elsie is rendered unconscious beside him. Sherlock Holmes and his team arrive to investigate the incident, facing not only the mystery of the attack but also the meddling of a curious cousin, Abe Slaney. Their investigation uncovers a peculiar email featuring dancing stick figures and reveals secrets from Mrs. Cubitt's past.
