Detectives Green and Cassady initially suspect the senator but soon uncover a tangled web within a troubled family harboring various scandalous secrets. Meanwhile, McCoy faces intense pressure as he must present the case to a judge more focused on maintaining a favorable public image than on delivering true justice.
