The community of Sparta is in mourning following a tragic accident involving a drunk driver and a group of high school cheerleaders returning from a game. As police work to locate the perpetrator, Althea steps in to support the families of the victims as they navigate their grief. The incident stirs up haunting memories for retired officer Tom Dugan. Simultaneously, district attorney Dutton criticizes the police department for perceived shortcomings in their response to the crisis.
