In Liberty City, Miami, one of the nation’s long-standing segregated public housing developments faces a crisis. As sea levels rise, the area's elevated land has transformed into a lucrative target for developers. Affluent property owners are now encroaching into this historically Black community, sparking a frenzy of speculation and investment in a neighborhood that had long been overlooked by both developers and city planners. The changing landscape threatens the very fabric of Liberty City as it grapples with the consequences of gentrification.
