Grissom and Warrick take on the mysterious case of an elderly woman discovered mummified in her own closet. Meanwhile, Sara and Nick respond to a breaking and entering incident, only to uncover a teenage girl who has been assaulted. Initially, these cases appear unrelated, but connections soon emerge. Catherine investigates a firearm that a young boy stumbled upon, uncovering its link to a murder that Warrick had been involved with just a week prior, tying the investigations together in unexpected ways.
