Hitler's dislike for biological weapons likely stemmed from his experiences during World War I. In October 1918, while serving as a young corporal on the front lines, he feared he had been blinded by a mustard gas attack. Fast forward to the summer of 1943, and the war has shifted in favor of the Allies. Germany is depleting its resources and manpower, desperately grasping for any potential advantage to turn the tide in their favor, willing to resort to extreme measures to secure victory.
