Hot Rod Garage
S09E07 The World's Cheapest Turbo Buick gets '87 Intercooled Power!
In this episode of HOT ROD Garage, we dive back into the Grand Trashional, the most budget-friendly running turbo Buick ever. We picked up a 1985 T-Type for just $3,800, tackled a significant amount of rust, refreshed the interior, and then hit the track, where Tony Angelo quickly blew up the non-intercooled 3.8-liter engine. Join Tony and guest host Jimmy Caldwell as they strive to unleash serious power. The duo replaces it with a more desirable 1987 intercooled engine and adds a host of modern performance upgrades, including a dual ball-bearing Garrett turbo, Holley EFI, and Flowmaster manifolds.
