Maxine welcomes a new supervisor at D.C.F., while Donna feels overwhelmed as Oscar's lawyers push to overturn his conviction. Tension arises between Amy and Maxine when they disagree about whether Maxine's terminally ill client should take the stand in a case Amy is handling. Meanwhile, Vincent advises Donna not to share her feelings for other men with Oscar, offering her comfort by affirming that such emotions are perfectly natural.
