After suffering defeat against the Fourteenth Angel, Zeruel, Asuka's synchronization levels plummet, pushing her deeper into frustration with Rei, Shinji, Misato, and Ryouji. Her anger and turmoil reach new heights as she grapples with her painful memories during the confrontation with the Fifteenth Angel, Arael. Asuka must confront her haunting past while trying to regain her strength in the face of overwhelming challenges.
