In her dreams, Alice envisions herself as a bionic woman with a heart made of steel—perhaps even her father's heart. She aids Santo, and her father's assurances give her the strength to cope with the shock of her actions. Meanwhile, while looking into the mystery of the Damerino's disappearance, Nereo and his cousin Assunta stumble upon a revelation that places Santo in a rather precarious situation.
