Cecily returns home from the sanitarium filled with optimism, but both Janet and Alec are worried about a potential relapse, treating her as if she’s still unwell. Aunt Eliza persuades Alec and Janet that the best way for everyone to regain normalcy is to treat Cecily as though she’s fully recovered. Meanwhile, Felicity grapples with her decision to leave medical school and eagerly anticipates Gus's return, planning for their wedding. Her heart shatters when she learns that Gus's ship has sunk, leaving him presumed dead.
