In a quaint village south of Paris in 1789, Nicole Chamfort, a graduate student of Sydney and Nigel, is convinced that her ancestors were involved in a secret wedding just before the French Revolution. Tragically, the groom was killed by revolutionaries moments after the ceremony. If Nicole's theory holds, the bride’s illegitimate son could claim the de Bourdin family's legacy.
