While many associate Far North Queensland with tropical cuisine, he finds that Broome's backyards, influenced by Asian pearlers, also boast vibrant tropical flavors. A local Indigenous jam maker guides him to Cape Leveque, where Adam learns about the value of self-sufficiency in small Aboriginal communities and observes businesses prioritizing community and conservation. He forages for wild gubinge, Kakadu plum, mango, and tamarind, whipping up ice cream for local children. Adam goes mudcrabbing along riverbeds, explores sustainable practices at a trochus hatchery, and works as a deckhand on a pearling boat, tasting fresh pearl meat. He concludes his adventure by preparing a delicious dish of chilli, tamarind, and mango mud crab on a stunning beach where red earth meets pristine white sand and turquoise waters.
