A group of inventors sets out to transform the lives of three remarkable individuals facing unique challenges. Four-year-old William suffers from a rare type of epilepsy that leads to frequent, sometimes life-threatening seizures. With no effective medication or alarms available, his parents have been on constant watch for four years, leaving them exhausted and desperate for a solution. Designer Haiyan Zhang takes on the emotional challenge of creating an invention that will help them monitor William more easily. Nineteen-year-old Ian, who has cerebral palsy, has always adored sailing, a passion he shared with his late father. Now, he goes sailing with a friend who has rigged a basic system allowing Ian to communicate directions using his eyes.
