In 2015, a man seeks guidance from a tarot card reader, who, within just one hour, reveals the death card, prompting him to admit to committing murder. When the police arrive, they are shocked to find the man has been cohabiting with the corpse of his victim for several days. Both individuals were once members of the spiritualist church but had a severe falling out. The authorities face the daunting task of determining the circumstances surrounding this murder, which is part of a troubling pattern of same-sex partners killing and living with their victims, including another case involving a fugitive who evaded capture for a year.
